A frieze of stills compiled sequentially from HD footage shot during twilight at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump in southern Alberta. This footage, part of a current work-in-progress, emulates director Terrence Mallick’s 1978 film Days of Heaven, also shot in southern Alberta, which envisions the poetic qualities of the western landscape from a migrant’s perspective who, divorced from familiar cultural referents, must reinvent his world.
