Ellipsis, 2009
site-specific installation, Vancouver, Canada. dimensions variable.

Ellipsis is a site-specific installation created for Access Gallery in Vancouver utilizing the gallery’s tile floor pattern to produce a hand-woven tapestry and a custom-embroidered magician’s handkerchief. The tapestry and handkerchief resurface in subsequent photographs and a video-loop featuring a magician’s trick. The exhibition was accompanied by a limited-run print multiple featuring the essay “Carpets” from Vilém Flusser’s 1999 book The Shape of Things.
