Colorado Paintings
etched clear, black & silver Plexiglas / MDF, 46 x 61.5 cm ea.

Five identically framed Plexiglas panels into each of which has been sandblasted the name of a different weekday. The weekdays correspond to the inter-title screens used by Kubrick in The Shining to denote the progression of narrative time, yet presumably and paradoxically, signaling the unraveling of narrative progression as Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) slowly goes insane. They are also intended to pun On Kawara’s Today paintings.
